" Instead of abandoning ourselves, we can learn to inhabit ourselves.
The body is tremendously homesick for our return." Denise Taylor

The body is the unique vehicle which guides us through this one precious life. It holds our memories, allows us to express potent emotions and gives access to wisdom. It is a way to be in contact with ourselves and with the people that we love.

Mankind has used dance and movement as forms of expression for healing, integration, and celebration over centuries. It is an intuitive, non-analytical approach to the body which invites attentive playfulness, somatic release and grounding in inner sensations. This a way to  be in deep contact with yourself. The body has so much wisdom to share with us and this helps us in really slowing down.

In our sessions we may create a space in which you can embody some of your current life experiences into and through your body. On a subtle level, your movements can help you be in touch with your emotional and mental experiences. There is a lot of opportunity to slow down in order to kindly attend to your body and its rhythms.

My background
I have studied various forms of dance and movement, starting early with Ballet and Jazz dance. In my late teens and early twenties I was a competitive ballroom dancer and enjoyed going to Salsa nights. Now I'm more drawn to free forms of movement and dance practices such as 5 Rhythms, Contact Improvisation, and Authentic Movement.
